We've received a great book to review called Jack's Acrobatics. It's so different from any book that we've reviewed before as it's teaching us to do acrobatics together as a family, and we're absolutely loving it!
The book is introduced with a story about a little boy named Jack and his family, and how he wants to be able to perform an acrobatics show. So together they learn a series of acrobatic exercises in different categories (somersaults, pyramids, free style). Each of the 24 exercises is explained step by step with illustrations and clear instructions.
We've been having lots of fun trying out some of the exercises in the garden. Ethan loved doing the 'tossing the apple out of the wheelbarrow' with me, where we started out in a wheelbarrow position and then went into a somersault. We also tried a few others from the book, and are enjoying perfecting our moves.
Some of the ones that involved lifting Ethan up very high I leave to Daddy to do! Ethan really enjoyed climbing up him to do a somersault off of him, as well as a pony pyramid! Even Ivy tried to join in with that one, climbing over Daddy and balancing on his back is fun for both kids. Maybe we'll be putting on our own family acrobatics show soon!
*This is a review post, we were provided with a copy of Jack's Acrobatics in order to try out the exercises and write an honest review, as well as give away a copy.*
We are also giving away a copy of the book so that one lucky reader can try out Jack's Acrobatics at home! The competition is open to residents of the UK through the Rafflecopter entry below.
