It has been a very long time since I've posted an update and that is because I have been very busy training to be a Play Therapist. I am about halfway there, having recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills and am now working towards completing my Diploma in Play Therapy. It is a long process and it has been very strange to return to studying and working outside the home after such a long time, but it is very rewarding and I am so happy to be able to work with children and help them to reach their therapeutic goals. I have already completed 100 clinical hours with clients as part of the certificate training and am now embarking on another 100 clinical hours with a new batch of clients starting in 2024.
Please let me know if you are interested in any other information about the process of training to become a Play Therapist as I definitely think that it is very rewarding and I am really looking forward to being fully qualified and pursuing this as a career full time.
